Editorial Policy

CarCultureHQ publishes automotive magazine content alongside a community platform of real builds, modifications, and owner data. This page explains how we create, verify, and maintain that content.

How articles are researched

Magazine stories combine editorial research with real-world context from the CarCultureHQ community — documented builds, modification logs, event coverage, and contributor submissions. Technical articles cross-reference our wiki glossary and calculator tools where applicable.

Source selection

We prioritize primary sources: manufacturer documentation, recognized industry standards, shop and builder interviews, and verified community data from CarCultureHQ garages. Generic content farms and unverified reposts are not used as sources.

Technical claim verification

Performance claims, fitment guidance, and mechanical advice are reviewed for accuracy against established automotive practice. When guidance varies by application, we say so explicitly rather than presenting one-size-fits-all rules.

Use of AI

CarCultureHQ uses AI-assisted tools in parts of the editorial workflow — for drafting, formatting, research organization, and internal productivity. AI does not replace human review. Published articles are edited, fact-checked, and approved by our editorial team before release. Community build data and statistics on our Build Data pages are aggregated programmatically from owner-submitted profiles and modification logs.

Corrections

If you spot an error in a published article or data report, contact us through the contact page. We correct factual errors promptly and note significant updates at the top of affected articles when appropriate.

Sponsored & affiliate content

CarCultureHQ does not publish sponsored editorial content disguised as independent reviews. We do not run paid product placement in magazine articles. Platform advertising is disclosed separately through our advertising policy.

Editorial independence

Magazine coverage is independent of advertiser relationships. Shops, brands, and community members cannot pay for favorable editorial treatment. Reader Rides and featured coverage follow the same editorial standards as staff-written content.

Article update policy

Automotive guidance evolves. We revisit high-traffic articles periodically and update them when standards, products, or community best practices change. Material updates adjust the published date or include an update note when they affect technical recommendations.

Community ratings & structured data

Guestbook ratings on ride profiles reflect community opinions among CarCultureHQ members. They are displayed for users but are not presented as third-party product reviews in search structured data.
