Privacy Policy

Car Culture HQ respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide when registering (username, email), content you upload, and usage data such as page views.

How We Use Information

We use your information to operate the platform, send account emails, process advertising, and improve our services.

Account Deletion and Data Retention

You may delete your account at any time from profile settings (Account / Delete Account). You may also ask us to delete it through the Contact form. Deletion is permanent and happens when the request is completed, not on a delay.

Deleting an account removes the login, email address, and username from the account record, along with the garage, photos, documents, messages, marketplace listings, guestbook posts, and advertising campaigns tied to that account. Crews you lead are disbanded. Uploaded files for that account are removed from storage.

A shop directory listing you claimed is not deleted. We clear your ownership so another member can claim the listing. Content other members created, such as their own comments on a public page, stays up under their accounts.

We keep two kinds of records after the account is gone:

  • Security and moderation logs. These cover actions such as bans, role changes, account deletion, and advertising payments. The log entry for a deleted account has the account id removed. The deletion entry may still include the username. We do not automatically delete these logs.
  • Payment event ids. Advertising charges are processed by Stripe or PayPal, and those companies keep the card or account transaction under their own policies. We store the provider event id and the campaign it applied to. When the account is deleted, the campaign is removed and the event id remains with the campaign link cleared. We do not automatically delete these event ids.

We keep those records so we can investigate abuse, answer a payment dispute, and show that a charge was applied once. To ask about a retained log or payment event id, contact us.

Children's Privacy

Car Culture HQ is not directed at children under 13. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has registered, contact us so we can delete the account.

Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections and secure database access controls. Account passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are not stored in plain text by Car Culture HQ.
