CarCultureHQ supports all automotive communities, including JDM, USDM, Euro, Muscle, Classics, Supercars & Exotics, Track/Time Attack, Lowriders, Trucks, Off-Road, and EVs.

Once logged in, open Add Ride from the garage flow. Enter your vehicle year, make, model, trim, dyno horsepower, exterior/interior colors, and upload high-resolution photos. You can then add categorized modification records across Engine, Suspension, Wheels, Brakes, Exterior, and more.

Every vehicle in your digital garage can generate a printable window placard formatted with your car specs, key modifications, and a scannable QR code. Spectators at car shows or meets can scan the code to view your complete digital build sheet and photo gallery on their mobile devices.

On each ride profile, log modifications by category with brand, part name, install date, and photos. Record dyno horsepower and torque in your garage specs, and use service or build notes to capture restoration milestones so your sheet stays complete for show placards and magazine features.

Show & Shine is our weekly virtual car show. Community members rate builds across styling, execution, and mod quality using star scoring. Rankings refresh on a weekly cycle, and the top-rated rides claim 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place on the Weekend Podium.

Driver Tiers represent your community prestige, progressing from Rookie Builder toward higher recognition tiers. Points are earned by logging verified track slips, earning Show & Shine results, completing garage specs, and contributing to the magazine and community.

Weekly popular rankings combine community ratings, engagement on active show entries, and build completeness signals. Fresh entries compete on the current weekly board so new builds can still reach the podium.

Navigate to Racer Hub and open Log Time Slip. Enter your 1/4-mile, 1/8-mile, or road course lap time, trap speed, track name, and upload a clear photo of your official physical timing slip. Once verified, your run is locked to your build and ranked on the race leaderboard.

The Race Leaderboard ranks verified 1/4-mile ET and trap speed, 1/8-mile results, and road-course lap times. Runs are tied to member garage builds so spectators can inspect the supporting vehicle specs.

Any member can start a car crew or apply to join existing regional clubs. Crew hubs display member build rosters, shared trophies, local meet announcements, and crew leaderboard standings.

Crew leaderboards aggregate member activity across builds, show results, and racing submissions. Regional badges highlight active clubs by state so local scenes can discover and compete with neighboring crews.

Members can list aftermarket performance parts, wheels, project cars, and accessories directly to fellow enthusiasts. Listings are tied to member garage profiles so buyers can verify seller authenticity and build reputation.

Basic member-to-member marketplace listings do not charge a CarCultureHQ selling fee on the transaction itself. Always follow local laws and marketplace guidelines when buying or selling parts and vehicles.

To maximize your chances of an editorial spotlight, ensure your build sheet includes high-resolution photography, dyno numbers, and complete modification history. Locate your business profile under /shops and click Claim This Business, or add a new listing from the shop dashboard flows. You will register an account and verify ownership using your business email, phone number, or physical business address.

Yes. Basic directory inclusion, owner verification, listing service capabilities (AWD Dyno, TIG Welding, Paint Booth), uploading shop photos, and setting labor/dyno rates are 100% free.

No. To ensure authenticity, businesses cannot alter or delete customer reviews. Verified business owners can post a public owner response to any review, and reviews violating our community standards can be reported for admin review.

Open the shop's listing and use "Request a quote / book" or "Message the shop". Both need a free CarCultureHQ account and are available on claimed listings. Requests go only to the verified owner, who can reply through your CarCultureHQ inbox. The owner's email is never shown to you, and your email or phone number is only shared with that shop if you type it into the quote form.

Yes. Each listing has a Questions & answers section. Signed-in members can ask, the verified owner answers, and answered questions appear on the listing so other members can see them. Site admins moderate questions that break community standards.

On your ride's Mods tab, find "Shops that worked on this ride", search for the shop, and optionally add a note or link specific mods. Your ride then appears in the shop's "Builds done here" grid, and a "Work done by" link shows on your ride page. You can remove the tag at any time, and shop owners can hide tags from their listing.

Owners can edit listing details and hours, reply to quote requests, answer questions, post deals and events (expired items drop off automatically), set specialties, certifications, price range, warranty, languages, and year established, hide build tags, and view 7- and 30-day Insights for views, website and directions clicks, calls, quotes, and saves.

Yes. Tap "Save shop" on any listing while signed in. Your saved shops are private to your account and listed in your account Settings.

CarDomain (also written Car Domain) was an online community for car enthusiasts, founded in Seattle in 1998. Members built a profile page for each car with photos and a write-up, browsed other builds, and talked with other enthusiasts. It was an early example of what people now call a "MySpace for cars."

CarDomain grew through the 2000s, cut about half its staff in 2008, merged with StreetFire in 2009, and was sold to Source Interlink Media in 2012. The site was still loading in June 2021 but mostly redirected from August 2021 on. Today the old community is offline.

We have found no official shutdown announcement. The cardomain.com homepage was still loading normally in June 2021, and from August 2021 the address mostly redirected, so the community appears to have gone offline around mid-to-late 2021. In October 2026, www.cardomain.com did not load.

CarDomain Network was founded by Alex Algard and Simon Han. In September 2012 it was sold to Source Interlink Media, the publisher behind Motor Trend and Hot Rod. Source Interlink was later renamed TEN: The Enthusiast Network and then Motor Trend Group.

CarCultureHQ cannot speak for CarDomain's owners. We do not run cardomain.com and know of no announcement that the community is returning. If you want a free digital garage today, you can create one on CarCultureHQ in a few minutes.

There is no official CarDomain archive or member data export that we know of. The best way to keep your old build alive is to recreate it on CarCultureHQ: create a free garage and add the ride, or send us what you have, like an old link, photos, or specs, and we can help bring it over as an archived ride.

Some legacy CarDomain builds have been preserved on CarCultureHQ as archived rides. They appear alongside member rides when you browse or search by make, model, and scene. Not every old profile is here, so if yours is missing, add it to a free garage or contact us with what you have.

There is no button that restores an old CarDomain account. If you recognize an archived build on CarCultureHQ that should be yours, contact us and we will review it case by case; ownership moves through Heritage Passport claim codes. Otherwise, create a free garage and pick up where you left off.

CarCultureHQ is the closest free CarDomain alternative: every car gets a permanent build page with photos, specs, mod logs, and guestbook ratings. Most enthusiasts also post to Instagram, Facebook Groups, Reddit, forums, or YouTube, then link back to their CarCultureHQ build so the full story lives in one place.
